The Bf 109 played an important role in all operations of the Second World War. The prototype first flew on 28.05.1935. The single-seat fighter had a DB 605 engine with a maximum power of 1,435 hp, maximum speed of 594 km/h and an altitude of 7,400 m. Total production was about 35,000 pieces.
